Second Grade students pose with turkey cards and pins they made for the residents "The Heritage Home for Women," an assisted care facility in Schenectady. Students completed the project as part of "Make a Difference Day." "Make a Difference Day" is a national celebration dedicated to performing acts of volunteerism. Students in grades k-5 contributed in a variety of ways, including collecting items for charity, making crafts, and doing yard work in the community.

 Students topped off a week-long participation in the National Mock Election with an Election Convention/Rally.
Students shared information and issues through endorsment speeches, songs, and recitation. The students enjoyed sharing what they'd learned and cheering for their favorite candidate! (click eack picture below to see a larger version)
