Music Department NewsThe spring concert series begins the week of May 6th. All concerts take place at the high school auditorium at 7PM. On May 7 the concert will feature the 8th Grade Chorus; high school Chamber Orchestra; and high schoool concert band. The next concert will take place on Thursday, May 9 and will feature the middle school 6th Grade Orchestra, 7th Grade Chorus; and 8th Grade Band along with the high school Concert Choir.
Congratulations to the following students who have been selected to participate in the Schenectady County Music Festival this year. The concert will be at Mohonasen on February 2 at 3PM. Scotia-Glenville has 53 students selected to participate. Tickets can be purchased at the door for the concert. This year the festival will feature a middle school jazz band. The students selected are Christopher Aldi, Nate Tabbert, Kyle Rankin, TJ DuBrey and Ed Rosenberg. The high school band includes: Miranda Gilgore, Madeleine Carroll, Abby Pietrow, Jennifer Mayette, Molly Kalasinski, Chiara Marcario, Sierra Plemenik, Dan Omicinski, Christian Rizzuto, Ben Connelly, Michaela Heintz, Ryan Bailey, Dennis Turner, Ian Hunter, Kyle Yagielski, Josh Mau, Benjamin Taubner, and Nathaniel Phillips.The high school orchestra selected includes: Maddie Corcoran, Madison Hempstead, Danielle Valachovic, Gracie Mailey, Pam Rice, Sabrina Long, Filip Pasquil, and Rebecca Zoeller. The high school chorus includes: Taylor Santabarbara, Charlene Hofer, Madyson Macejka, Ashley Ordon, Kaiti Ryan, Megan Zeglen, Kelsey Jessup, Kathryn DuBrey, Carolyn Senneca, Danielle Gagnon, Emily Massey, Joanne Ruan, Suzy Spooner, Jennifer VanDerwerken, Colter Carlstedt, Josh Olson, Josh Provost, Jesse Addington, Nick McCloskey, Ben Tunison, Drake Rudolph, and Mitch Forshey.
