1. Randy Lombardo, chairperson, welcomed everyone and called meeting to order.

2. Reviewed revised Sacandaga Elementary list.

3. Minutes of meeting of April 6, 2004 meeting. Moved to accept by Susan Fitting.

Second by Kim DeCorah.

4. Discussion of maintenance issues vs. bond issues. Agreed to create 2 sets of recommendations per school to board.

5. Include in recommendation to board to allow 1% of budget every year for general upkeep.

6. Items that are aidable (direct dollars from State) this year may or may not be available in future years. Committee and board need to be cognizant of this.

7. Sacandaga School discussion: Consider putting concrete in basement (possible health issues with dirt floor). Concrete floor in basement was cut from past building project because of cost; New windows should be considered (this is not unique to Sacandaga); Need turn around area in parking lot for buses. Current situation of buses in street unacceptable; General note of committee: Sacandaga School is being taken care of well.

8. Linda Castronovo reviewed the list of proposed renovations for the High School. Strike “expand guidance area” from list. Add “consider removing portico” (overhang by bus stop in front of building). Ms. Castronovo then conducted a tour of the building
